Virginia Laurie is a Creative Writing teacher and MFA Candidate at University of North Carolina Wilmington. 

She earned her Bachelor's in English with a minor in Studio Art from Washington and Lee University, where she was awarded a Fulbright, the John M. Evans English Scholarship, and the Sidney M.B. Coulling Prize for Best Senior Work. She acted as Arts & Life Editor for The Ring-tum Phi  newspaper.

Her writing and visual art has appeared in over 50  literary journals and magazines.
